The ACCUPRO 95168245 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and 4 flutes, it delivers a balance of material removal rate and surface finish quality. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hard materials. A variable helix design reduces harmonic vibration during the cut, improving stability and finish. The overall length is 2.5 inches with a 3/4 inch length of cut. Micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous alloys. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems. The regular length designation makes it appropriate for general-purpose work where extended reach is not required. Single-end geometry means the tool is replaced rather than indexed when worn.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production end mill for 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the control placed in an appropriate safe state before tooling changes. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the holder to the recommended gauge length before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish.
