The ACCUPRO 931-24300 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal metric coarse threads. It produces M24 x 3.00 threads in a single helical interpolation pass, reducing cycle time compared to traditional tapping. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, this tool handles the heat and abrasion demands of production machining environments. With a cutting diameter of 15.75 mm (0.6201 inches) and a length of cut of 35.00 mm (1.3780 inches), it is suited for through and blind-hole threading applications. This thread mill is used in CNC machining centers for producing M24 x 3.00 internal threads in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed by a CNC machinist or tooling technician into a compatible collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 16.00 mm shank diameter. Confirm tool runout is within acceptable tolerance before threading operations, as excessive runout will degrade thread quality and reduce tool life. Flood or mist coolant is recommended at the cutting zone since this tool does not provide coolant-through capability. Program helical interpolation using the correct thread pitch of 3.00 mm and verify the canned cycle parameters against the machine control documentation before cutting.
