The ACCUPRO 931-10150 is a helical flute internal thread mill designed for cutting M10x1.5 metric coarse threads in a single helical pass. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, it delivers consistent thread quality and extended tool life in production environments. The 4-flute geometry and right-hand flute direction support efficient chip evacuation during internal threading operations. With a cutting diameter of 0.3 inches and a 0.75 inch length of cut, this tool is suited for CNC machining centers where precise thread milling is required. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in metalworking, mold making, and general manufacturing will find it a reliable choice for metric thread applications.
This thread mill is applied in internal threading operations on CNC machining centers. It is sized for M10 threaded holes with a minimum nominal diameter of 0.3937 inches. The 5/16 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Typical applications include threading in hardened or difficult-to-machine materials where a tap would risk breakage. The TiAlN coating provides heat resistance suitable for dry or minimal-lubrication cutting strategies in steel, stainless, and cast iron.
Designed for use on CNC machining centers as an OEM-style thread mill for M10x1.5 metric coarse internal threading applications with a 5/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 5/16 inch shank in a properly sized collet or toolholder and verify runout before cutting. Program the helical interpolation cycle according to the machine control and tooling manufacturer guidelines for thread milling. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
