The ACCUPRO 931-06100 is a solid carbide internal helical flute thread mill designed for cutting M6 x 1.00 metric coarse internal threads. It features a 3/16-inch (4.30 mm cutting diameter, 6.00 mm shank) configuration with a TiAlN coating that improves heat resistance and tool life during high-speed threading operations. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention suited for demanding thread milling cycles. This tool is used by machinists and toolroom professionals operating CNC machining centers where thread milling is preferred over tapping for precision, blind-hole, or interrupted-thread applications.
This thread mill is suited for internal thread milling in CNC machining environments requiring M6 x 1.00 metric coarse threads. With a 0.17-inch cutting diameter and 0.50-inch length of cut, it handles typical M6 through-hole and shallow blind-hole threading tasks. Right-hand flute direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation and conventional thread milling toolpaths. It is appropriate for use in production shops, tool-and-die operations, and precision machining where consistent thread quality is required across multiple workpiece materials.
Designed for CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation toolpaths; intended for M6 x 1.00 metric coarse internal thread milling applications with a minimum nominal diameter of 0.2362 inches (6.00 mm).
Thread mills must be installed in a precision collet or tool holder that matches the 6.00 mm (approximately 3/16-inch) shank diameter; verify runout before use, as excessive runout will degrade thread quality and shorten tool life. Program the toolpath using a helical interpolation cycle appropriate for internal thread milling - consult your CAM software or control documentation for M6 thread milling parameters. Ensure the spindle and coolant are off and the tool is clear of the workpiece before making tool changes or adjustments.
