The ACCUPRO 930-56218 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UNF threads at 9/16-18. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, this tool delivers consistent thread geometry and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It runs 4 flutes with a 0.37-inch cutting diameter and a 1.25-inch length of cut, making it well suited for threading operations where rigid setup and precise thread form are required. Machinists and CNC operators use this tool in place of traditional taps where thread milling is preferred for tool life or tolerance control.
This thread mill is used in CNC machining centers for producing 9/16-18 UNF internal threads. It is appropriate for production and job-shop environments working in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and similar machinable alloys. The helical flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation during the threading pass. The 3/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER or milling collet systems commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
