The ACCUPRO 77712362 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It measures 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch decimal) in diameter and is machined from solid carbide with an aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN) coating to extend tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The 140-degree split point with web thinning and a tapered web configuration allows for fast penetration and reduced thrust. Overall length is 72 millimeters (approximately 2.83 inches) with a flute length of 24.80 millimeters (approximately 0.98 inches). This bit is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and fabrication shops requiring consistent, tight-tolerance holes in challenging workpiece materials.
This drill bit is well suited to production and job-shop environments drilling stainless steel, hardened alloys, cast iron, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine materials where standard high-speed steel bits fail prematurely. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and coolant-through capability make it a practical choice for CNC machining centers and programmed drill cycles where consistent hole quality and extended run intervals matter. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 5/32 inch jobber-length drill bits used in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses equipped with compatible collet or chuck toolholding with a 4.00 millimeter shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are free of runout before seating the shank, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. When using coolant-through capability, confirm the machine spindle and toolholder support through-coolant flow before operation. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA standards when operating rotating cutting tools.
