The ACCUPRO 776968 is a taper shank collet chuck designed for high-precision CNC milling and machining center applications. It uses the Single Angle collet system with the TG and PG150 collet series and features a CAT50 taper shank for direct spindle mounting via drawbar actuation. The chuck delivers a total indicated runout (TIR) of 0.0002 inches and is balanced to 15,000 RPM, making it suitable for demanding finishing and high-speed cutting operations. Through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery is supported, keeping the cutting zone clear during extended cuts. Machinists and CNC setup technicians install this chuck in production and job-shop environments where runout control and coolant access are critical.
This collet chuck fits CAT50-spindle machining centers running Single Angle TG and PG150 collets. It accepts tooling with shank diameters from 1/2 inch up to 1-1/2 inches, covering a wide range of end mills, drills, and reamers. The 3.54-inch projection provides clearance for deep-cavity work and multi-axis setups where nose-to-workpiece reach matters. It is suited for both production runs and precision prototype work where consistent runout and balanced high-speed rotation are required.
Designed for use with Single Angle TG and PG150 series collets on CAT50-spindle CNC machining centers equipped with drawbar-style tool clamping and through-spindle or DIN flange coolant systems.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. The spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in an appropriate lockout state before inserting or removing the chuck. Use the correct drawbar torque procedure specified by the machine tool builder when securing the chuck in the spindle. Verify runout at the collet nose with a dial indicator after seating to confirm the 0.0002-inch TIR specification is met before cutting.
