The ACCUPRO 775688 is an ER20 collet chuck designed for precision CNC milling and machining applications. It accepts ER20 collets with a capacity range of 0.039 to 0.511 inches, providing versatility across a wide range of tooling diameters. The chuck mounts via a CAT50 taper shank and features an 8-inch projection from the spindle face, making it suitable for deep-reach machining setups. Total Indicator Runout (TIR) is rated at 0.0002 inches, supporting tight-tolerance work. Through-coolant capability, compatible with through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery, keeps cutting tools and workpieces cooled during high-speed operations. The chuck is balanced to 25,000 RPM. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This collet chuck is intended for use in CNC machining centers equipped with CAT50 spindle interfaces. The 8-inch projection suits applications where standard-length toolholders cannot reach the cutting zone, such as deep-cavity mold work or tall-fixture setups. The ER20 collet system is a widely used standard in production and job-shop environments, accommodating a broad range of end mills, drills, and reamers within the capacity range. The 1.38-inch collet nut diameter provides adequate clamping engagement with standard ER20 collets.
Designed for use with CAT50 spindle machining centers and standard ER20 collets. Through-coolant function requires through-spindle or DIN flange coolant delivery on the host machine.
Installation and toolholder changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down and spindle fully stopped. Use a calibrated torque wrench with the appropriate ER20 collet nut spanner to seat the collet and secure tooling. Verify TIR with a dial indicator after installation before returning the spindle to service. Inspect the CAT50 taper and spindle bore for contamination or damage prior to mounting.
