The ACCUPRO 775432 is a CAT40 taper shank shell mill holder designed for use on vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with CAT40 spindles. It accepts shell mill cutters with a 1-1/4 inch pilot diameter and supports cutting diameter ranges from 3 to 3-1/2 inches. The holder features through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery, directing coolant directly to the cutting zone for improved chip evacuation and tool life. A 5/8-18 lock screw thread secures the shell mill cutter. With a TIR of 0.0002 inches, this holder provides the runout accuracy required for consistent face milling operations. It is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This holder is suited for face milling applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in both production and job-shop settings. The CAT40 interface is standard across a wide range of vertical machining centers and horizontal machining centers in North American manufacturing facilities. The through-spindle and DIN flange coolant capability makes it appropriate for applications where flood coolant alone is insufficient, including hard-material face milling and higher-feed operations where chip control is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style shell mill holder for machining centers with CAT40 spindle tapers. Compatible with shell mill cutters requiring a 1-1/4 inch pilot and a cutting diameter range of 3 to 3-1/2 inches.
Installation and removal must be performed with the machine spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate CAT40 toolholder tightening fixture and torque wrench to seat the draw bar correctly — do not hand-tighten only. Verify TIR at setup with a dial test indicator before beginning a cut. Coolant line connections at the spindle and flange should be inspected for proper seating before enabling coolant flow.
