The ACCUPRO 772104 is a CAT50 taper shank end mill holder designed for use in CNC machining centers requiring high-precision tool holding. It accepts end mills with a 1/4 inch shank diameter and provides 4 inches of projection from the spindle face, with a nose diameter of 51/64 inches. The holder features through-coolant capability compatible with both through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery systems. With a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0002 inches and a balance rating of 25,000 RPM, this holder is suited for high-speed finishing and profiling operations. Clamping depth is 1.1 inches. The retention knob thread size is 1-8. Installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill holder is intended for use in CAT50-spindle vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 4 inch projection makes it suitable for workpiece features that require clearance from the spindle nose, such as deep pockets, stepped bores, or fixtures with elevated clamping hardware. The through-coolant design supports chip evacuation and tool life extension in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 25,000 RPM balance rating accommodates high-speed spindle applications where vibration and runout control are critical to part finish and tool longevity.
Designed as an OEM-style toolholder for CAT50-spindle CNC machining centers accepting standard CAT50 taper tooling with a 1-8 retention knob thread size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle and coolant supply are fully powered down and depressurized before mounting or removing the holder. The retention knob must match the spindle draw bar thread specification before torquing to the machine manufacturer's recommended value. Inspect the taper shank and spindle bore for chips or contamination before seating to protect runout performance.
