The ACCUPRO 771952 is a shrink-fit tool holder adapter designed for CNC machining centers requiring a CAT50 taper shank interface. It accepts a 3/4 inch bore and delivers a 3.15 inch projection from the spindle face, making it well suited for deep-reach tooling setups. The holder features through-coolant capability and is balanced to 30,000 RPM, supporting high-speed machining operations where thermal grip and runout control are critical. A clamping depth of 2.05 inches and a nose diameter of 1.30 inches complete the core geometry. This holder is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians on vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with CAT50 spindles.
This holder is intended for use in production and job-shop environments running CAT50-spindle machines. It is appropriate for milling, drilling, and boring operations where shrink-fit retention provides superior concentricity and grip force compared to collet or set-screw styles. The through-coolant feature supports flood and high-pressure coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, extending tool life in demanding materials. The 30,000 RPM balance rating makes it compatible with high-speed spindle applications as well as conventional machining speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style shrink-fit tool holder for CNC machining centers equipped with a CAT50 spindle taper and requiring a 3/4 inch bore shrink-fit adapter.
Shrink-fit tool holders require a dedicated induction heating unit to expand the bore before tool insertion and must be allowed to cool fully before the assembly is placed in service. Power down and lock out the machining center before loading or unloading any toolholder from the spindle. Verify spindle cleanliness and inspect the CAT50 taper for nicks or contamination before seating the holder. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the retention knob and observe all applicable shop safety procedures when handling heated components.
