The ACCUPRO 771204 is a CAT40 dual contact taper shank shell mill holder designed for milling machine spindles requiring high rigidity and precise tool positioning. It accepts shell mills in the 4 to 5 inch cutting diameter range via a 1.5 inch pilot diameter. The dual contact taper shank engages both the taper and the spindle face simultaneously, improving rigidity over standard single-contact CAT40 holders. Through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery are supported. Balanced to 10,000 RPM, the holder suits high-speed finishing and semi-finishing operations on machining centers where runout control is critical. TIR is rated at 0.0002 inch.

This holder is intended for use on CAT40-spindle vertical and horizontal machining centers in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The 2 inch flange-to-nose projection keeps the shell mill close to the spindle face, reducing overhang and improving stability during face milling, shoulder milling, and surface interpolation passes.
