The ACCUPRO 75554865 is a CNMG322 style indexable carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It features a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate graded ACM20P, delivering high wear resistance with moderate toughness across a broad range of cutting conditions. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides strong cutting edges, and the neutral hand orientation allows flexible toolholder pairing. With four usable cutting edges per insert, tooling cost per edge is kept low for production environments. The 0.0315-inch corner radius suits general finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This insert is suited for turning centers and CNC lathes used in job shop, general machining, and production environments. The ACM20P grade covers steel (P) and stainless steel (M) material groups, handling operations that range from high wear-resistance to moderate wear-resistance and toughness demands. It is appropriate for light to moderate interrupted cuts and continuous turning passes where edge stability and surface finish consistency are priorities. Machinists and CNC programmers working with ferrous and austenitic alloys will find this insert a practical general-purpose choice in the CI series lineup.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for CNMG322 toolholders accepting negative-rake, clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods with a 0.1512-inch hole diameter. Compatible with toolholders specified for CNMG090308 ISO inserts.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully and evenly in the toolholder pocket before tightening the clamping mechanism to prevent insert rocking or premature edge failure. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
