The ACCUPRO 75554832 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to ANSI code CCMT32.51 and ISO code CCMT09T304, this insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a neutral hand orientation. The PVD coating under grade ACM25P delivers a balance of wear resistance and toughness suited to steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpieces. The WM+ chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation across a range of feed rates and depths. A screw-lock holding method secures the insert in compatible toolholders for repeatable edge positioning.
This insert is intended for production and job-shop turning applications where consistent surface finish and tool life are priorities. It suits finishing to semi-finishing cuts in steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and special or super alloys (S-class). The 0.40 mm corner radius makes it well matched to applications requiring a fine surface finish with minimal burr. Designed for use in CCMT-style screw-lock turning toolholders accepting a 9.53 mm (0.3752 inch) inscribed circle insert with a 3.97 mm (0.1563 inch) insert thickness. Verify toolholder pocket specifications against ANSI size code 32.51 before installing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a locked-out, zero-energy state before any insert change. Use the manufacturer-specified torque wrench or driver for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate.
