The ACCUPRO 75554824 is a TCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI code TCMT21.51 and ISO code TCMT110204, placing it in a triangular insert geometry with a 60-degree included angle and a positive side clearance. The insert is manufactured from carbide substrate in the ACP35M grade and finished with a CVD coating, delivering a balance of wear resistance and toughness across a range of workpiece materials. With a corner radius of 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches) and a neutral hand orientation, it suits precision finishing and light roughing passes where controlled chip formation is critical.
This insert is suited for turning steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and special or super alloys (S-class) in production and job-shop environments. The WM+ chip breaker geometry is optimized for moderate feeds and depths, making it a practical choice on CNC turning centers handling interrupted or continuous cuts in aerospace, medical, and general machining applications. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches). The insert is held by screw clamping and fits standard TCMT-compatible toolholders. Each unit is sold individually; minimum order quantity is 10 pieces.
Designed for use in standard TCMT-compatible screw-clamp turning toolholders. Fits holders dimensioned for a 0.25-inch (6.35 mm) inscribed circle and TCMT21.51 / TCMT110204 insert seating. Verify holder pocket geometry and clearance code C before installation.
Installation is performed by machining or toolroom personnel following standard insert-change procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque; do not use impact drivers. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a fresh insert to ensure proper contact and prevent premature edge failure.
