The ACCUPRO 75552174 is a DCGT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI code DCGT32.51 and ISO code DCGT11T304. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a positive side clearance geometry. Applied with a PVD coating in manufacturer grade ACM15S, it is engineered for high wear-resistance to moderate wear-resistance and toughness when machining stainless steel and special or super alloys. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is suited for finish and semi-finish turning operations on stainless steel (ISO material group M) and special or super alloys (ISO material group S). The LMF+ chip breaker geometry supports light-to-moderate cutting depths, making it effective for close-tolerance work on difficult-to-machine materials. The maximum depth of cut is 0.0531 inches (1.35 mm), which positions this insert for finishing passes where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are the priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for toolholders accepting DCGT32.51 (ANSI) or DCGT11T304 (ISO) inserts with a screw-clamp holding method.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the manufacturer-specified torque wrench for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate. Verify insert seating and shim condition before resuming cutting operations.
