The ACCUPRO 75551838 is a TCMT-style triangular carbide turning insert designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Conforming to ANSI insert code TCMT32.51 and ISO code TCMT16T304, this insert features a CVD coating and ACK20P manufacturer grade, delivering high wear resistance across steel and cast iron workpiece materials. The 7-degree positive relief angle and neutral hand orientation make it a versatile choice for general-purpose turning. With a corner radius of 0.40 millimeters (0.0157 inches) and a maximum depth of cut of 3.00 millimeters (0.1181 inches), it suits medium-duty finishing and semi-finishing passes. Installation is via screw-holding method, compatible with standard TCMT insert pockets.
This insert is suited for production and job-shop turning environments where consistent surface finish and tool life are priorities. It performs on steel workpieces requiring high wear resistance and on cast iron applications ranging from high to moderate wear resistance with toughness demands. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports effective chip control across a range of feeds and depths typical in general turning of ferrous materials. Machinists and toolroom operators working in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing will find this insert a direct-fit replacement for standard TCMT32.51 pocket toolholders.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement insert for toolholders accepting ANSI TCMT32.51 or ISO TCMT16T304 turning inserts with screw-clamp holding systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with indexable insert tooling. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque. Handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping cutting edges during installation.
