The ACCUPRO 75551465 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured from carbide with a PVD coating and ACM25P grade designation, this insert delivers high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpiece materials. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape and 7-degree relief angle provide a stable cutting geometry with positive side clearance, making it suitable for light to moderate finishing cuts. The WSF+ chip breaker geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during interrupted or continuous turning passes.
This insert is intended for use in applications involving steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and special or super alloys (S-class), covering a broad range of material grades commonly encountered in precision machining environments. With a maximum depth of cut of 1.80 mm (0.0709 inches) and a 0.20 mm (0.0079 inch) corner radius, it is configured for finishing and light semi-finishing operations. It is installed using a screw-hold clamping method and is compatible with toolholders designed for CCMT 21.50.5 (ANSI) or CCMT 060202 (ISO) insert seating geometry. Machinists, CNC operators, and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this insert in production and job-shop settings.
Designed to fit toolholders conforming to ANSI insert seat code CCMT21.50.5 and ISO insert seat code CCMT060202. Verify toolholder insert pocket geometry before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and in a locked-out state before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before seating the new insert. Index only to unused cutting edges; do not attempt to regrind carbide indexable inserts.
