The ACCUPRO 75550194 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI insert code CCMT32.52 and ISO insert code CCMT09T308. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation and a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate. The ACK20P manufacturer grade is engineered for high wear-resistance on steel (P) workpieces and high to moderate wear-resistance with toughness on cast iron (K) workpieces. With a corner radius of 0.80 mm (0.0315 inches) and a positive side clearance geometry, it delivers controlled chip formation and extended tool life in finish to semi-finish turning applications.
This insert is suited for turning steel and cast iron workpieces in both production-volume and job-shop environments. The WM+ chip breaker geometry manages chip evacuation effectively across a range of feed rates and depths. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches), making it appropriate for light to medium roughing and finishing passes. It is held in the toolholder via a screw-clamp method, compatible with standard CCMT screw-on insert pockets. Machinists and CNC programmers in precision machining, aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking shops are the primary users.
Designed as a screw-clamp replacement turning insert for toolholders accepting CCMT32.52 (ANSI) or CCMT09T308 (ISO) insert pockets with a C clearance code and M tolerance code.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret before seating or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque range — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Verify insert seating and pocket cleanliness before resuming cutting operations.
