The ACCUPRO 75548362 is a CNMA-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD coating, this insert carries the ACK20P grade designation and an 80-degree rhombic shape, giving it four usable cutting edges per insert. The 0.0472 inch corner radius and neutral hand orientation make it a versatile choice for general-purpose turning operations. At 0.1874 inches thick with an inscribed circle of 0.5000 inches, this insert fits standard CNMA toolholders and meets ANSI Code CNMA433. Licensed machinists and CNC operators select this insert for finish and semi-finish turning on a range of workpiece materials.
The 75548362 is suited for external turning, facing, and contouring operations in production machining environments. Its CVD coating provides thermal and wear resistance during continuous and interrupted cuts. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.1890 inches, it handles light to moderate material removal. The EN chip breaker geometry aids in chip control during turning passes. This insert is appropriate for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production cells running steel, cast iron, and similar machinable materials where consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for standard CNMA toolholders conforming to ANSI Code CNMA433 with a 0.5000 inch inscribed circle and 0.2031 inch hole diameter. Compatible holding methods include clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw retention systems.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a powered-down, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder pocket and seating surface are clean and free of chips before seating the insert. Use the appropriate torque tool or clamp key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the retention mechanism. Inspect cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and index or replace the insert as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
