The ACCUPRO 75515353 is a carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It follows the SNMG432 (ANSI) and SNMG120408 (ISO) designation, indicating a square insert shape with a 0-degree relief angle (negative side clearance) and a 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch) corner radius. The insert carries an ACP25M manufacturer grade and a CVD coating, making it suitable for steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces across a range from high wear-resistance to moderate toughness applications. With 8 available cutting edges, this insert delivers extended tool life per piece. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians operating turning centers and manual lathes.
This insert is suited for production and job-shop turning of steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) materials. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports a wide range of feed rates and depths of cut up to 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches), making it useful for both medium and roughing passes. The neutral hand orientation allows use in standard toolholders configured for either direction of feed. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in SNMG-style toolholders accepting a square insert with a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle. Compatible insert-holding methods include clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw. Intended for turning applications involving steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be stopped and all motion arrested before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench or insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the clamping screw or lever lock - do not overtighten by hand estimation. Inspect the insert seat and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new edge to ensure proper insert contact and prevent premature edge failure.
