The ACCUPRO 75507475 is a CNMG432 indexable carbide turning insert designed for general-purpose external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to ANSI code CNMG432 and ISO code CNMG120408, this insert features a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate in manufacturer grade ACP25M. The diamond (rhombic) 80-degree insert shape with a 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch) corner radius delivers a balance of edge strength and surface finish capability. With four cutting edges per insert and a WL+ chip breaker geometry, this insert is suited for production environments where tool changes need to be minimized.
This insert is intended for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces across a range of roughing and semi-finishing applications. The ACP25M grade characteristics span high wear resistance through high toughness for steel (P), high wear resistance through moderate wear resistance and toughness for stainless steel (M), and the same range for cast iron (K). A maximum depth of cut of 2.00 mm (0.0787 inch) reflects its positioning as a semi-finishing to light roughing insert. It is installed by licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production turning environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for CNMG432 toolholders accepting negative-rake, 80-degree diamond inserts with a 0.5000 inch inscribed circle and a hole diameter of 0.2043 inch. Compatible holding methods include clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw-style toolholders conforming to ANSI CNMG432 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing via screw or lever lock to avoid cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket seat for debris or damage before seating a new edge.
