The ACCUPRO 75496851 is a CNMA-style turning insert designed for precision metal cutting operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from solid carbide with a CVD coating in the ACK20P grade, this insert delivers consistent wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The rhombic insert shape features an 80-degree included angle, a 0.0315-inch corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation. Four cutting edges per insert extend tool life and reduce per-edge cost. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments rely on this class of insert for external turning, facing, and profiling passes on steel and cast materials.
This insert is suited for general-purpose turning applications in both production and job-shop settings. The CNMA insert style with clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding compatibility makes it adaptable across a wide range of standard toolholders. The EN chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation during medium-depth passes. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.189 inches, it is appropriate for moderate material removal rates on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The inscribed circle diameter of 0.5 inches corresponds to standard ANSI code CNMA432 sizing.
Conforms to ANSI code CNMA432. Designed as a standard replacement turning insert for toolholders accepting CNMA-style inserts with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and 0.1874-inch insert thickness.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket and pocket shim before engaging the clamping mechanism to prevent insert rocking during cut. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping torque and procedure for the holding method in use.
