The ACCUPRO 75496638 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal removal on CNC lathes and turning centers. Carrying ANSI code CCMT21.52 and ISO code CCMT060208, it features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a 0.0315-inch (0.80 mm) corner radius. The insert is coated via CVD and belongs to manufacturer grade ACM20P with a WM+ chip breaker geometry. With two cutting edges and a screw-mount holding method, this insert delivers consistent, repeatable performance in production turning environments. It is suited for machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production settings.
This insert is intended for turning steel (P) and stainless steel (M) workpiece materials, covering applications from high wear-resistance to moderate wear-resistance and toughness demands. It fits standard CCMT insert pockets with a 0.25-inch (6.35 mm) inscribed circle, positive side clearance, M tolerance code, and C clearance code. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm). Typical applications include external turning, facing, and light profiling passes on ferrous materials in both production and maintenance machining environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard CCMT21.52 (ISO CCMT060208) insert pockets. Compatible with CCMT-style toolholders that accept a 0.25-inch inscribed circle insert with M tolerance and C clearance codes. Primary workpiece material codes P (steel) and M (stainless steel).
Installation is performed by machining technicians and CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secure before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before seating the new insert.
