The ACCUPRO 75475491 is a WNMG432 indexable carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to the W-Trigon 80-degree insert shape, it provides six cutting edges per insert, maximizing tool life and reducing cost per edge. The CVD coating and ACP25M grade deliver high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. At 0.1874 inches thick with a 0.50-inch inscribed circle and a 0.0315-inch corner radius, this insert fits standard WNMG toolholders and suits medium to finishing depth-of-cut applications up to 0.1575 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this insert in production turning environments.
This insert is rated for steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpiece materials, covering the most common production turning applications. The WM+ chip breaker geometry handles a range from high wear-resistance cutting to moderate toughness demands depending on material class. It is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in job shops, automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing environments. The neutral hand orientation allows use on both right- and left-hand toolholders. Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and contour work where consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard WNMG432 (ISO WNMG080402) toolholders accepting negative-rake, 80-degree trigon inserts with a 0.2043-inch hole diameter and clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified fastener for the toolholder clamping system to seat the insert properly without cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
