The ACCUPRO 75469452 is a CNMG-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built from CVD-coated carbide, this insert carries manufacturer grade ACK20P and targets high wear-resistance applications in steel (P) and cast iron (K) workpiece materials. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 1.20 mm (0.0472 inch) corner radius, and a negative side clearance geometry. With four usable cutting edges and an inscribed circle of 0.75 inches (19.05 mm), it delivers consistent performance across moderate to heavy turning passes. Machinists and CNC operators handling production turning will find this insert suited to demanding stock-removal cycles.
This insert is intended for external and internal turning applications where steel and cast iron are the primary workpiece materials. The CVD coating provides high wear-resistance on steel and transitions to moderate wear-resistance with added toughness on cast iron. Typical applications include roughing and semi-finishing passes on shafts, flanges, and bores in production and job-shop environments. The CNMG190612 ISO designation and ANSI code CNMG643 make it straightforward to cross-reference against toolholder requirements and existing insert inventory.
Designed for CNMG-style toolholders accepting an ISO size code 190612 insert with a 0.3134-inch hole diameter and a 0.25-inch insert thickness. Confirm toolholder holding method (clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw) before installation. ANSI code CNMG643 applies.
Indexable inserts should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the toolholder manufacturer's torque and clamping procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or damage before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edge prior to use.
