Product Description

The ACCUPRO 75368357 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It carries ANSI code DCMT32.52 and ISO code DCMT11T308, with a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape and a 7-degree relief angle. The insert features a CVD coating in grade ACP35M, engineered to deliver a balance of wear resistance and toughness across steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpiece materials. A 0.80 mm corner radius (0.0315 inches) and a maximum depth of cut of 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches) make this insert well suited for medium finishing and semi-finishing passes. It is held in place by screw clamping and offers two usable cutting edges per insert.

This insert is intended for use in screw-clamp DCMT toolholders on production turning equipment. It is appropriate for shop-floor machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop, aerospace, medical, and general manufacturing environments. Primary workpiece material codes covered are P (steel), M (stainless steel), and S (special and super alloys). The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation during medium to light cuts on these material groups. Sold individually; minimum order quantity is 10 pieces.

Key Features

  • CVD-coated carbide grade ACP35M balances wear resistance and toughness for steel, stainless steel, and super alloys
  • 55-degree diamond insert shape (code D) provides a sharp cutting geometry for finishing and semi-finishing
  • 7-degree relief angle with positive side clearance reduces cutting forces and tool pressure
  • WM+ chip breaker controls chip formation across a range of depths of cut and feed rates
  • Two cutting edges per insert extend usable tool life before replacement
  • Screw-clamp insert holding method ensures rigid, repeatable seating in compatible toolholders

Compatibility

Designed for use in screw-clamp DCMT-style turning toolholders that accept ANSI size code 32.52 or ISO size code 11T308 inserts. Verify toolholder pocket geometry and insert seat dimensions before installation.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw driver specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw — do not over-tighten, as this can crack the carbide insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
