The ACCUPRO 75367482 is a carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured in the SCMT style with a square insert shape and a 7-degree relief angle, it carries a CVD coating under the ACP15K grade designation. The inscribed circle measures 0.5000 inches (12.70 mm), and the corner radius is 0.0157 inches (0.40 mm). Insert thickness is 0.1874 inches (4.76 mm). A screw-type insert holding method secures it in compatible toolholders. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports a wide range of cutting conditions across primary workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert during routine edge indexing or tooling changeovers.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces. The ACP15K grade targets high wear-resistance to moderate wear-resistance and toughness across P, M, and K material groups, making it applicable to both roughing and semi-finishing passes. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm). The neutral hand orientation allows use in standard right- or left-hand turning configurations depending on toolholder setup. It is commonly found in production shops, job shops, and maintenance machining environments where a single insert grade must cover multiple workpiece materials.
Designed for use in SCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting an ANSI SCMT431 or ISO SCMT120404 insert. Compatible with P, M, and K primary workpiece material classifications including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed with the machine in a full stop condition with spindle power off and all axes at a safe position. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to loosen and remove the clamp screw before lifting the worn edge or spent insert. Seat the new cutting edge fully against the insert pocket locating surfaces before torquing the clamp screw. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's seating procedure and verify runout before returning the tool to service.
