The ACCUPRO 75358937 is a DNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured in the ACP25M grade with a CVD coating, this insert delivers high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a negative side clearance, and a neutral hand orientation. It carries a corner radius of 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches) and a maximum depth of cut of 2.00 mm (0.0787 inches). With four usable cutting edges per insert, it offers extended service life in production turning environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production facilities are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces. The ACP25M grade is engineered for high wear resistance in steel (P) applications and transitions to moderate wear resistance with toughness for stainless steel (M) and cast iron (K) applications. The WL+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation in continuous and semi-interrupted cuts. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes within the rated depth-of-cut range, making it a versatile choice for multi-material production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for DNMG-style toolholders accepting inserts with an inscribed circle of 0.3752 inches (9.53 mm), an insert thickness of 0.1874 inches (4.76 mm), and a hole diameter of 0.1512 inches. Verify toolholder designation against ANSI code DNMG110404 or ISO code DNMG331 before installation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and in an e-stop state. Use the appropriate torx or hex key for the specified holding method (clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw) to secure the insert; do not overtighten clamping hardware beyond toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or wear before seating a new insert. Refer to applicable shop safety procedures and toolholder OEM documentation for torque and clamping guidance.
