The ACCUPRO 75333302 is a carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting operations in CNC and manual turning applications. Configured in the DCGT style with a diamond (rhombic) 55-degree insert shape, this insert features a 7-degree relief angle, positive side clearance, and a polished coating that reduces built-up edge and friction at the cutting zone. The 0.0079 inch (0.20 mm) corner radius makes it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are priorities. Grade ACN15K with the LMF+ chip breaker targets cast iron and non-ferrous materials including aluminum, offering high wear resistance with moderate toughness. Installed by machinists and CNC operators using screw-clamping toolholders.
This insert is applied in turning centers and lathes performing finish to semi-finish cuts on cast iron and aluminum or other non-ferrous workpieces. The maximum depth of cut is 0.0531 inches (1.35 mm), confirming its role as a light-to-moderate material removal insert rather than a roughing tool. The Series CI designation and inscribed circle of 0.2500 inches (6.35 mm) align with standard small-to-medium toolholder pockets. Applications include external turning, facing, and contour work on components where surface integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for DCGT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 0.2500 inch inscribed circle with ANSI code DCGT21.50.5 and ISO code DCGT070202.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamping screw to seat the insert fully in the pocket without over-torquing, which can fracture carbide. Inspect the insert pocket and shim for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
