The ACCUPRO 75332585 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC and manual lathes. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate, and a neutral hand orientation. The manufacturer grade is ACP25M, suited for high wear-resistance applications across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces. With a 0.20 mm (0.0079 inch) corner radius and a 7-degree relief angle, this insert is built for finishing and light-to-medium roughing passes where tight tolerances are required. It is installed using a screw-type insert holding method and provides two usable cutting edges per insert.
This insert is used in turning operations on CNC machining centers and manual lathes across job shop, aerospace, and general metalworking environments. The DCMT geometry with positive side clearance and WSF+ chip breaker design makes it well suited for turning steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpieces. The ACP25M grade offers a balance of wear resistance and toughness appropriate for interrupted and continuous cuts. Machinists and CNC operators running production or prototype turning work will find this insert fits standard DCMT toolholders requiring the 32.505 ANSI size code.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard DCMT screw-lock turning insert toolholders accepting the ANSI size code 32.505 and ISO code DCMT11T302.
Installation is performed by licensed machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper support and runout.
