The ACCUPRO 75331561 is a CCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from carbide with a CVD coating under the ACP25M grade designation, this insert delivers high wear resistance across a broad application range. It features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, a 7-degree relief angle, a 0.25-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.40 mm corner radius. The neutral hand configuration and screw-type holding method make it compatible with standard CCMT toolholders. Designed for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces. The ACP25M grade with CVD coating is optimized for high wear resistance when cutting steel (P-class materials), and delivers moderate wear resistance combined with toughness on stainless steel (M-class) and cast iron (K-class) applications. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports a range of cutting conditions from finishing to light roughing. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches). Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and contour work on CNC lathes in both production and maintenance machining contexts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for CCMT-style toolholders accepting ANSI code CCMT21.51 or ISO code CCMT060204 inserts with a 0.25-inch inscribed circle and screw-type clamping.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Before indexing or replacing inserts, power down the machine and ensure the spindle is fully stopped. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excess clamping force. Verify insert seating and edge orientation before resuming cutting operations.
