The ACCUPRO 75297408 is a TNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries ANSI code TNMG333 and ISO code TNMG160412, identifying a triangular insert with a 1.20 mm (0.0472 inch) corner radius, a negative side clearance, and a neutral hand orientation. The CVD coating and ACP25M manufacturer grade deliver high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. Six cutting edges per insert reduce per-edge tooling cost in high-volume production environments. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports consistent chip control across a range of feed rates and depths of cut up to 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches).
This insert is suited for production turning of steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and cast iron (K-class) workpieces in both roughing and finishing passes. Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and profiling on CNC turning centers in job shops and manufacturing facilities. The negative clearance geometry makes it appropriate for use in rigid setups where insert strength and edge security are priorities. It is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per the Series CI product line.
Designed for use in TNMG-style toolholders accepting a triangular insert with a 0.3752 inch (9.53 mm) inscribed circle, negative clearance geometry, and M-tolerance class. Compatible holding methods include clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw-style toolholder systems.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque and seating procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamping hardware for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate specified in the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines for this insert geometry.
