The ACCUPRO 75287144 is a CNMX-style carbide turning insert engineered for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ANSI code CNMX432 and ISO code CNMX120408, identifying an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative side clearance. The insert features a CVD coating and an ACP15K manufacturer grade, delivering high to moderate wear resistance and toughness across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces. A 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch) corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) make it well suited for medium finishing and semi-finishing operations.
This insert is intended for use in industrial turning applications on CNC and manual lathes where consistent tool life and surface finish are required. The SWX+ chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation during interrupted or continuous cuts in P, M, and K material groups. It is typically installed by machining technicians, CNC operators, and toolroom professionals working with steel alloys, stainless grades, and cast iron components. The screw-holding method provides positive clamping and repeatable indexing across all four cutting edges.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for standard CNMX-style toolholders accepting a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, 4.76 mm insert thickness, and 0.2043-inch hole diameter, conforming to ANSI code CNMX432 and ISO code CNMX120408.
Installation is performed by qualified machining technicians or CNC operators. Before indexing or replacing inserts, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and dimensional repeatability.
