The ACCUPRO 75286799 is a WNMG433 (ISO: WNMG080412) indexable carbide turning insert designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to the WNMG trigon 80-degree insert shape, it features a CVD coating in grade ACP25M and delivers a 0.0472 inch (1.20 mm) corner radius with a negative side clearance. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports consistent chip control across a range of feed rates and depths. With six usable cutting edges per insert, this part offers an efficient cost-per-edge ratio for production turning environments. It weighs 0.03 pounds.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces in both roughing and finishing passes up to a maximum depth of cut of 0.1575 inches (4.00 mm). The ACP25M grade is rated for high wear resistance to high toughness in steel (P) applications, high wear resistance to moderate wear resistance and toughness in stainless steel (M) applications, and the same range in cast iron (K) applications. Typical use cases include shaft turning, facing, and profiling on production CNC lathes in shop, job, and contract machining environments. Compatible toolholders use clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw insert holding methods.
Compatible with WNMG433-style toolholders that accept clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw insert clamping. Primary workpiece material codes P (steel), M (stainless steel), and K (cast iron).
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered off and locked out per standard LOTO procedures. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket before tightening the clamping element to avoid insert rocking or premature edge chipping. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for chips or debris before seating a new edge. Follow toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping guidelines for the specific holding method in use.
