The ACCUPRO 75286492 is a VNMG-style indexable carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to ANSI code VNMG331 and ISO code VNMG160404, this insert features a 35-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate in grade ACP25M. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports a wide range of cutting conditions. With four usable cutting edges and a corner radius of 0.0315 inches (0.80 mm), it delivers consistent performance across finish and semi-finish turning passes. It weighs approximately 0.02 pounds per insert.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces in production and job-shop environments. The ACP25M grade with CVD coating provides high wear resistance across P, M, and K ISO material groups, making it a practical choice for shops running mixed-material work. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1575 inches (4.00 mm). It is compatible with toolholders that accept VNMG inserts using clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods.

Indexable turning inserts are installed and replaced by machinist or CNC toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench or insert key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening clamping screws or levers. Inspect the insert seat and clamping mechanism for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
