The ACCUPRO 75283051 is a WNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for metal cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Featuring a trigon 80-degree insert shape with a neutral hand orientation, this insert carries a CVD coating in manufacturer grade ACP15K, delivering high to moderate wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. The corner radius measures 1.20 mm (0.0472 inches), and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.5000 inches (12.70 mm). Six cutting edges are available per insert. The WM+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation across a range of feed and depth-of-cut conditions. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for turning operations on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) workpiece materials where high to moderate wear resistance combined with moderate toughness is required. The WNMG433 (ANSI) or WNMG080412 (ISO) designation makes it directly interchangeable with standard WNMG format toolholders. It fits residential and commercial machine shop environments as well as production floor turning applications where carbide indexable tooling is the standard. Maximum depth of cut is 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches), keeping this insert well suited for finishing and moderate roughing passes.
Designed for use in standard WNMG-format turning toolholders that accept an 80-degree trigon insert with a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle and negative clearance geometry. Compatible with clamp, lever lock, pin, and screw holding methods per ANSI code WNMG433 and ISO code WNMG080412.
This insert is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the insert via screw or lever lock — do not overtighten. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips or wear before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
