The ACCUPRO 75260604 is a carbide turning insert designed for precision metal removal on CNC and manual lathes. Built to the SNMG432 (ANSI) and SNMG120408 (ISO) standard, this square-shaped insert features a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.0315-inch corner radius, and a PVD coating applied over a CI-series carbide substrate. The ACS15M manufacturer grade delivers high to moderate wear resistance with balanced toughness, making it well suited for interrupted cuts and demanding finishing passes. Eight usable cutting edges per insert extend tool life and reduce per-edge cost. Insert thickness is 0.1874 inches and the neutral hand orientation fits both right- and left-hand toolholders.
This insert is rated for primary workpiece materials classified under ISO material codes M (stainless steel) and S (special and super alloys), covering a range of austenitic stainless grades and nickel- or titanium-based superalloys. The IPE+ chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip formation at the moderate-to-high feed rates typical in turning stainless and superalloy components. Maximum depth of cut is 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm). It is compatible with toolholders that use clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw insert-holding methods, which are standard on most production turning setups handling these material groups.
Designed for use in SNMG-style toolholders accepting clamp, lever lock, pin, or screw holding methods. Fits toolholders spec'd for a 0.5-inch inscribed circle square insert with N clearance and M tolerance codes per ANSI and ISO standards.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the toolholder pocket and seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before installing the insert. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before any insert change. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque specifications for the specific clamp or screw style in use.
