The ACCUPRO 75241091 is a GD-style grooving insert engineered for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a 5.000mm (0.1969 inches) cutting width and a 0.40mm (0.0157 inches) corner radius, making it suited for tight-tolerance groove profiles. The insert is manufactured in ACP45M grade with a PVD coating and a positive rake geometry, delivering reliable chip control across a range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as a direct replacement in compatible CI-series toolholders.
This insert is intended for use in turning and grooving applications where consistent groove width and surface finish are required. The GD insert style, combined with a GUT chip breaker, supports controlled chip evacuation during internal and external grooving passes. It is applicable in both production and job-shop environments running ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The self-grip, clamp, and screw holding methods provide flexibility across multiple toolholder configurations within the CI series.
Designed as a replacement grooving insert for CI-series toolholders. Multi-use tool designation confirms fitment across multiple holder configurations within the CI series product line.
CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals handle installation of grooving inserts. Always index or replace inserts with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Use the appropriate insert seating tool or torx key per the toolholder manufacturer specifications to avoid cracking the insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
