The ACCUPRO 75215343 is a GD-style grooving insert designed for precision groove turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the ACP35K manufacturer grade with a CVD coating, this insert delivers wear resistance in continuous and interrupted grooving applications. The cutting width measures 0.1181 inches (3.000 mm) with a corner radius of 0.0118 inches (0.30 mm), providing a defined, repeatable groove profile. The positive rake geometry reduces cutting forces, making it well suited for a range of workpiece materials where edge sharpness and finish quality matter. Installed via clamp, screw, or self-grip holding methods, it offers flexible toolholder compatibility for shops running high-volume production or maintenance machining work.
This insert is used in external and face grooving applications on production turning equipment. With a lead angle of 0.000 degrees, it is optimized for straight plunge grooving rather than profiling cuts. The GUT chip breaker geometry promotes reliable chip evacuation in grooving operations, which reduces the risk of chip packing in tight groove geometries. Machinists and CNC operators working on ferrous and non-ferrous components will find this insert suitable across a broad range of shop environments. It carries Series CI classification and is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed as a replacement-style grooving insert for turning toolholders that accept GD-style inserts with size code 24, using clamp, screw, or self-grip holding methods.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully and evenly in the pocket before engaging the clamping mechanism, and inspect the insert seat for chips or debris prior to installation. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate for this insert geometry.
