The ACCUPRO 75113886 is a GD-style grooving insert engineered for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a Cutting Width of 0.0591 inches (1.500 mm) and a Corner Radius of 0.0059 inches (0.15 mm), making it suitable for tight-tolerance groove profiles. The insert is manufactured in Grade ACP35K with a CVD coating applied for extended wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. Positive rake geometry reduces cutting forces and promotes cleaner chip evacuation. It is part of ACCUPRO Series CI and is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
This insert is intended for use in grooving and cutoff applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials in both production and job-shop environments. The GD insert style is compatible with clamp, screw, and self-grip insert-holding methods, providing flexibility across a range of standard grooving toolholders. The GPP chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation in medium to light-depth grooving passes. Typical applications include external groove cutting, undercut profiling, and recessing operations performed by machinists and CNC operators in precision machining facilities.
Designed for use with Series CI GD-style grooving toolholders that accept Insert Size Code 24 inserts with clamp, screw, or self-grip retention.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine placed in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the insert firmly in the toolholder pocket and verify the holding method is fully engaged before resuming cutting operations. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer recommendations for proper clamping torque and insert orientation.
