The ACCUPRO 72098304 is a single-end square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN+ coating, it is engineered for cutting high-temperature alloys and similarly hard-to-machine workpiece materials. The 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) diameter body features 6 helical flutes with a variable helix angle between 36 and 40 degrees and a variable index geometry. These design elements reduce harmonic vibration and improve chip evacuation during aggressive cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators running production or job-shop work on aerospace-grade or heat-resistant alloys are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on high-temperature alloys, including nickel-based, cobalt-based, and titanium alloys, where tool life and edge stability are critical. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in high-heat cutting environments. With a 1.6250 inch length of cut and a 4.0000 inch overall length, it fits standard 3/4 inch toolholders on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting capability allows for plunge entry. It is sold as a single end, single piece unit.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch diameter end mill toolholders on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers. Primary workpiece material is high-temperature alloy (material code S). No specific machine model compatibility data was provided in the product input.
This tool is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Use a properly sized collet or shrink-fit holder rated for 3/4 inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm correct spindle direction (right-hand) before initiating a cut, and verify that cutting parameters match the workpiece material and coating requirements.
