The ACCUPRO 72094915 is a 6-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built with an AlTiN+ coating, it handles the elevated temperatures and cutting pressures common when machining high-temperature alloys and other difficult workpiece materials. The 0.030-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in roughing and finishing passes. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during the cut, which is critical when working in aerospace-grade or heat-resistant superalloys. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC programmers running production or job-shop milling operations.
This end mill is well-suited for vertical and horizontal milling centers running high-temp alloy components, including aerospace, power generation, and medical workpieces. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration fits standard ER or end mill holders with a 3/4-inch bore. The 1-5/8-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth side milling and slotting passes, while the 4-inch overall length provides clearance for most standard fixturing setups. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use in CNC milling applications where the primary workpiece material is high-temp alloy (material code S). Fits standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders. Part of the ACCUPRO HS series.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the holder is torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before running. Inspect the collet or holder bore for wear or runout before seating the tool, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute carbide tools. AlTiN+ coated tools are typically run dry or with air blast in high-temp alloy applications; consult your speeds-and-feeds data for this material code before setting cutting parameters.
