The ACCUPRO 72093107 is a single-end, solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. With a 5/8-inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter and 6 helical flutes, it delivers aggressive material removal with superior surface finish. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited for dry or semi-dry cutting. A variable helix angle of 36 to 40 degrees combined with variable index geometry reduces harmonic chatter, making this tool effective in deep-pocket and side-milling operations. It is primarily intended for machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and production environments.
This end mill is engineered for cutting high-temperature alloys (ANSI material code S), including nickel-based superalloys and other difficult-to-machine materials common in aerospace and defense manufacturing. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its utility across slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. With a 2-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length on a 5/8-inch shank, it fits standard ER or side-lock toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill replacement for CNC milling applications requiring a 5/8-inch diameter, 6-flute, single-end geometry with AlTiN+ coating optimized for high-temperature alloy workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 5/8-inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged toolholder and torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a 6-flute carbide tool.
