The ACCUPRO 72091424 is a 6-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. With a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter and an AlTiN+ coating, this tool is engineered for cutting high-temperature alloys and other hard-to-machine materials. The 0.1200 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in aggressive applications. Variable helix and variable index geometry minimize chatter and vibration during long cuts. This is a single-end, centercutting tool installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills and manual vertical milling machines.
This end mill is suited for aerospace, power generation, and industrial manufacturing applications where high-temp alloys such as nickel-based superalloys and titanium are common workpiece materials. The 1-5/8 inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inch overall length support deep-pocket and contour milling operations. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It is packaged as a single unit and sold in a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed for use in CNC and manual milling machines with a 5/8 inch collet or end mill holder. Primary workpiece material designation is High-Temp Alloy (material code S), consistent with nickel, cobalt, and titanium alloy machining applications.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists using a 5/8 inch collet, shrink-fit holder, or side-lock end mill holder rated for the intended cutting parameters. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to maintain tool life and dimensional accuracy. Follow the machine builder and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection when cutting high-temperature alloys.
