The ACCUPRO 72091291 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. The cutter features a 5/8-inch (0.6250-inch) mill diameter, six flutes, and a 0.0900-inch corner radius that produces a controlled edge break on finished workpiece surfaces. An AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in high-temperature cutting applications. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during the cut, improving surface finish and allowing higher feed rates. The primary target workpiece material is high-temp alloy (Material Code S), making this tool well suited to aerospace, power generation, and industrial component machining.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers where high-temp alloys such as nickel-base superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome are the primary workpiece materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry when required. With a 1-5/8-inch (1.6250-inch) length of cut and a 3-1/2-inch overall length, it handles moderate-depth pocketing, profiling, and slotting operations. The 5/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collet chucks and side-lock holders commonly used in production shops.
Designed for use with high-temp alloy workpiece materials (Material Code S) in CNC milling applications. The 5/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock tool holders accepting that shank size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or unloading the tool. Use a properly sized and balanced tool holder to maximize the benefit of the variable helix geometry. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before production use, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and diminish corner radius accuracy.
