The ACCUPRO 72088487 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.5000-inch mill diameter, six flutes, and a 2.5000-inch length of cut, this tool delivers aggressive chip evacuation and consistent finish quality. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. A variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic chatter and improve surface finish at high cutting speeds. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is engineered primarily for cutting high-temperature alloys, designated by workpiece material code S. Typical applications include aerospace components, turbine parts, and structural hardware machined from nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The 0.0200-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge from chipping and reduces stress concentration at sharp corners in the finished part. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
Designed as a single-end solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 1/2-inch tool holder or collet. Primary workpiece material is high-temperature alloy (material code S).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine in a full stop and locked-out state per applicable machine safety protocols. Ensure the 0.5000-inch shank is fully seated and properly torqued in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut.
