The ACCUPRO 72079833 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It features a 3/8-inch (0.3750-inch) diameter, 6-flute geometry, and an AlTiN+ coating optimized for heat resistance and tool life. The 0.0100-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and improves surface finish at part corners. With a 1.750-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this single-end mill suits deep-reach finishing and semi-finishing passes. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC milling centers.
This end mill is engineered primarily for high-temperature alloys (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome commonly found in aerospace, power generation, and medical manufacturing applications. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC mill spindle orientation. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry as well as lateral cuts, adding flexibility during complex profiling operations. No chipbreaker geometry is present, making this tool better suited to finishing and light semi-finishing rather than aggressive roughing.
