The ACCUPRO 72073760 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It features a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) mill diameter, six flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating that provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature alloy applications. The 0.0200 inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, helping to maintain dimensional accuracy during finishing passes. Variable index and variable helix geometry minimize chatter and vibration, making it well-suited for aggressive material removal and tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where high-temp alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and similar S-code materials are the primary workpiece. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting rotation is compatible with standard spindle configurations. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length, it fits typical short-reach finishing and profiling operations.
Optimized for primary workpiece material code S (high-temp alloys including nickel-based, titanium, and cobalt alloys). The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks accepting 3/8 inch tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or lockout state. Verify holder runout before use, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling and degrades surface finish. Consult the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate speeds and feeds when cutting high-temp alloys. Do not use this tool beyond its stated length of cut, as overhang beyond the flute zone can cause tool deflection or breakage.
