The ACCUPRO 72058712 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It carries a 0.3125-inch (5/16 inch) mill diameter, a 6-flute geometry, and an AlTiN+ coating that supports elevated cutting temperatures without breakdown. The variable helix and variable index design reduce harmonic chatter, improving surface finish and tool life in difficult cuts. With a 0.0100-inch corner radius, it protects the cutting edge at the transition zone while maintaining tight corner tolerances. This tool is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is optimized for cutting high-temperature alloys, classified under primary workpiece material code S. Typical applications include aerospace components, medical device machining, and industrial parts where nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome alloys are common. The center-cutting capability allows plunge entry, making it useful for ramping and helical interpolation operations.
